A magistrate court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted a N500,000 bail to Alex Ikwechegh, a member of the House of Representatives over physical assault of Stephen Abuwatseya, an e-hailing driver in the Federal Capital Territory.
Ikwechegh was arraigned before the court on Wednesday on a three-count charge bordering on assault and threat to life.
The charges were filed by the office of the Inspector-general of Police.
The federal lawmaker, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was granted bail in the sum.
