NDLEA Destroys Illicit Substances Worth N301 Billon in Lagos

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has destroyed 329,865 kilograms of assorted illicit drugs worth an estimated N301 billion in Lagos.

The court-ordered exercise, held at Navy Town, Ojo, involved narcotics seized in Lagos between April 2025 and May 2026, as well as abandoned consignments linked to concluded cases.

The destroyed drugs included cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, ephedrine, tramadol, codeine syrup, other opioids

NDLEA in collaboration with the lagos state4 Government, Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigeria Navy and the judiciary, described the exercise as a major demonstration of Nigeria’s determination to dismantle drug trafficking networks and deprive criminal enterprises of their financial resources.
