Siminalayi Fubara , Rivers State Governor ,on Sunday paid a visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, at his residence in Port Harcourt, in what could further signal the consolidation of political ties ahead of the 2027 elections.
Fubara was accompanied by Dr Sam Sam Jaja and was received at Wike’s residence by Kingsley Chinda, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State.
Also present during the meeting was former senator and prominent Rivers politician, Magnus Abe.
The visit was disclosed by Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, in a post on his Facebook page.
The meeting comes months after Fubara and Wike resolved their long-running political differences in May 2026, following the governor’s decision to step down from the governorship race.
Fubara subsequently directed his supporters to back the APC candidates in the 2027 presidential and governorship elections, strengthening the political camp associated with Wike.
The latest meeting brings together key figures within the emerging political alignment in Rivers State and may further reinforce the group’s strategy ahead of the 2027 polls.
