At 40, Fertility Doctor Who Helps Couples Have Babies Still Finds Time to Make Music

By our Reporter

For some couples, the journey to parenthood is measured not in months but in years of waiting, uncertainty and hope. For Dr. Adeleke Daramola Luke, those moments have become part of his professional life—and helping families cross that difficult bridge has become one of the defining stories of his own.

As he joins the league of 40 high-flyers on October 2, the medical doctor, fertility specialist, entrepreneur and musician is celebrating a remarkable journey that has taken him from the hospital to the music studio
Popularly known as Dr. Global on social media, Daramola is the Founder and Medical Director of Greenleaf Fertility Clinic and Wellness Centre, Ikorodu, where he has devoted much of his professional career to reproductive medicine and assisted conception.

Under his care, more than 300 live births have been recorded through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), a milestone that represents far more than a statistic for the families involved.
For many of them, the numbers translate into babies they once feared might never arrive.
Born into the royal family of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adewumi Daramola, the Onigbemo of Igbemo-Ekiti, Dr. Daramola’s journey has taken him far beyond his royal heritage.

He studied Medicine at the University of Lagos before pursuing further training in reproductive medicine in Germany and the United Kingdom. Armed with specialised knowledge and a determination to make a difference, he returned to build a career in one of the most emotionally demanding areas of medicine.

But while the doctor in him has spent years helping people create families, another side of Daramola has been creating something entirely different—music.
His love for music has been a longstanding one, taking him from songwriting into the Nigerian music industry.

In 2015, he became a runner-up in an MTN music talent competition, sharing the stage with artistes including Humblesmith and Harrysong.

For Daramola, however, medicine did not signal the end of music.
The music continued.
Now, at 40, he is still pursuing that passion, with a new collaboration with Qdot adding another chapter to his artistic journey.

It is a combination that makes his story unusual: a doctor whose professional life revolves around fertility and childbirth, and a musician whose creative life revolves around lyrics, melodies and performance.

His journey has also been one of resilience and entrepreneurship, as he has built a medical practice while maintaining his creative identity in an industry that often demands a completely different kind of commitment.

Daramola is not simply counting years but he is counting lives touched, families helped, dreams pursued and passions sustained.

From the fertility clinic to the music stage, his story is one of a man who has refused to allow one profession to silence another passion.

As family members, friends, colleagues, patients and well-wishers celebrate him today, the message is clear: four decades have produced a doctor who helps families welcome new life—and a musician who continues to find his own voice.

And at 40, both stories are still being written.
