LASG APPROVES ₦103.7M HOUSING LOANS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT STAFF IN 4TH QUARTER

The Lagos State Government has approved the disbursement of ₦103,700,000.00 (One Hundred and Three Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) as housing loans to 225 beneficiaries in the Local Government Service for the fourth quarter of the year, further reaffirming its commitment to improving the welfare and living conditions of public servants at the grassroots level.

This approval was announced at the fourth quarter meeting of the Local Government Staff Housing Loans Board, held on Thursday, 18th December, 2025, by the Permanent Secretary, Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, Mrs. Bibilomo Olushekun.

The quarterly meeting, according to her, forms part of the State Government’s continuous effort to support local government employees through access to affordable housing finance across the 57 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos State.

She explained that the housing loan scheme remains a critical welfare intervention aimed at enhancing productivity, job satisfaction, and the overall quality of life of local government staff. She urged the beneficiaries to utilise the funds responsibly and in line with the objectives of the scheme.

Mrs. Olushekun further disclosed that with the fourth quarter approval, a cumulative total of ₦331,700,000.00 (Three Hundred and Thirty-One Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) has been disbursed to 762 beneficiaries during the first, second, and third quarters of the year.

According to her, the consistent quarterly disbursements underscore the Lagos State Government’s unwavering commitment to staff welfare and sustainable housing solutions for public servants in the Local Government Service.
