The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has announced the 2025 NMA Healthcare and Medical Expo, scheduled to hold on the 5th November at the Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Abuja Continental Hotel, beginning at 9 a.m.

According to Dr. Wale Lasisi, Deputy Secretary-General, he said the event with the theme “Reversing Medical Tourism: Africans Investing in Africa,” will bring together top medical experts, policymakers, and investors to explore strategies for strengthening Africa’s healthcare systems and reducing the continent’s dependence on foreign medical services.
The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour, while Professor Mohammed Ali-Pate, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, will attend as Special Guest of Honour. The Chief Host is Barrister Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and the Host is Dr. Bala Mohammed Audu, President of the Nigerian Medical Association.
Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, Chancellor of Ekiti State University, will chair the occasion and deliver the keynote address.

According to the NMA, the Expo aims to celebrate achievements and innovations in Nigerian healthcare while fostering collaboration toward building a stronger and more self-reliant health system across the continent.
