The House of Representatives, at plenary, opposed federal government’s rehabilitation of terrorists under whatever circumstance. The House, therefore, to the federal government to stop the rehabilitation of terrorists in Nigeria.

The House of Representatives also called for urgent action to dismantle criminal financial networks, following revelations that ₦2.23 trillion was paid in ransom in the last four years.
The lawmakers expressed concerns over terrorism financing, encouraging the House probing on how the country’s financial system is being used to fund kidnapping.
The federal lawmakers said that weaknesses in Nigeria’s financial intelligence system is fueling kidnapping and terrorism. They warned of the risk of further Financial Action Task Force grey-listing.
The lawmakers further raised alarm over the use of Point-of-Sale, PoS, operators, Bureau De Change, and cryptocurrency platforms to launder ransom payments.
