Over a thousand Nigerian youths have thrown their support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The show of support came during a solidarity walk in Abuja to mark the 2025 Democracy Day.

Organized by the APC Youths League, the event which took place at the Old Parade Ground in Garki drew participants from various political parties and youth organizations.

Addressing the gathering, Kazeem Raji, Director General of the National Board for Technology Incubation, praised the President’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance.
He said more than 60 percent of the President’s appointees are young people, describing it as a first in Nigeria’s democratic history.
Raji also highlighted the President’s legacy as one of the champions of the 1993 democratic struggle, noting that many youths today are benefiting from his longstanding commitment to youth empowerment.
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Eric Uwakwe, Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Youth Affairs called on Nigerian youths to rally behind the President and his policies which he said will move the country forward.
Uwakwe described President Tinubu as “an icon of hope”, citing recent initiatives such as the student loan scheme and the appointment of a youthful Minister for Youth.
He urged young Nigerians to support the administration, since the president has demonstrated a genuine interest in addressing the needs of the country’s youth population.
