Ogun State Government has
Inducted 108 new Principals to beef up administration and fill the vaccum created across the State by Principals who crossed the retirement age.
Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, Chairman, Teaching Service Commission, (TESCOM),
stated this during the induction of the Principals, at Lisabi Grammar School, Idi Aba, Abeokuta, advising them to be efficient in the discharge of their duties.
Ifede noted that Principals should seek more knowledge to enhance their capacity as school heads, saying it would boost the dynamics of injecting noble ideas into their various schools. He applauded the State government for supporting the Commission.
Earlier in his address, the Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Dr.Abdulwaheed Olanloye said it is important for Principals to evaluate teachers’ performance and observe the learning outcome of students, urging them to imbibe the culture of quality leadership, serve as role models to teachers and students and entrench a robust relationship with staffers, to achieve optimal goals as administrator.
Speaking on behalf of the new inductees, Mr. Bakare Olarewaju expressed satisfaction with the promotion exercise, that led to their selection, while assuring the Commission that they would work diligently in their various schools to achieve academic excellence.
