Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) has charged Justices of the Federal High Court to firmly enforce court procedural discipline but with fairness, as they begin handling political litigations ahead of 2027 general election.

Justice Kekere-Ekun gave the charge at the special court session held to mark the ceremonial commencement of the Federal High Court 2025/2026 Legal Year and the 41st Annual Judges’ Conference.
The CJN, who also unveiled the new Electronic Display Notice Board of the Federal High Court, a secure and authoritative information
Platform, harped on the need for the protection of judges and mutual working relationship between the Bar and the Bench.
Earlier, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, said the court has fared well administratively, in the completion of administrative wing at the headquarters, and handling of cases in past legal year, despite attempts to smear its reputation in some politically related cases.
