The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with alleged criminal conspiracy and armed robbery, recovering a stolen motorcycle from them.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement issued Thursday.
According to the statement, “On 4th May, 2026, operatives attached to Ningi Division arrested Moh’d Sani, aged 25 years, and Sani Lawan, aged 20 years, both males from Badungu Village, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
“At the time of arrest, a red Boxer motorcycle was recovered in their possession.”
Habib explained that further investigation linked the suspects to an earlier robbery incident in Ningi Local Government Area.
“Further investigation revealed that on 17th February, 2026, at about 1630hrs, the suspects had conspired and attacked one Mustapha Tukur, male, aged 20 years, of Sabuwar Kongoro Village, Ningi Local Government Area,” he said.
He added, “The incident occurred in the bush area of Bukutumbe Village, Ningi LGA, where the suspects forcefully dispossessed the victim of the said motorcycle and fled.”
The police spokesman noted that the suspects had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.

He further said the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements.
Habib urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station or through the command’s control room line.
