FOREIGN AFFAIRS, NLNG DEEPEN ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY TIES

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu has described NLNG as a strategic national asset, saying its success aligns with government’s goals on energy security, investment promotion, and industrial growth.

This was when the Foreign Affairs Minister received NLNG Managing Director, Engineer Adeleye Falade in Abuja.

They agreed to strengthen collaboration to promote Nigeria’s economic diplomacy and energy investments.

Equally the NLNG Managing Director congratulated her and noted that NLNG serves as an ambassador of Nigeria’s economic potential globally.

He highlighted the ongoing Train 7 project, which will raise LNG output from 22 to 30 million tonnes per annum and create more jobs and revenue for government.

Bianca Ojukwu welcomed closer partnership to attract strategic investments and showcase Nigeria’s energy opportunities.

Both parties reaffirmed commitment to deepen cooperation, enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness, and reinforce the country as a top investment destination in Africa.

Currently, the NLNG supports thousands of jobs and contributes through taxes, dividends and local content development.
