The Management of the University of Lagos,(UNILAG) has invited application from members of the public to fill vacancies for the position of Vice Chancellor and Bursar.
The Statement
Pursuant to the provisions of the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1993 as amended in 2003 and 2012 respectively, the Governing Council of the University of Lagos hereby notifies the academic community and general public both within and outside Nigeria that the Council has commenced the process of appointing a Vice-Chancellor.
This also applies to the position of a Bursar.
Incumbent Tenure to end Soon
It would be recalled that the position of the Vice Chancellor is expected to be vacant ahead of the expiration of the incumbent tenure of 5 years by Novemeber,2022.
Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe was appointed in November,2017 following the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Rahman Bello.
