Advertising Profession: ARCON Inducts Sparklight News Editor-in-chief, Others in Abeokuta

Dr. Tosin Adesile, an academic scholar and the editor-in-chief of Sparklight News, has been Inducted as a full member into the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) along side 57 Others into associate and other membership categories.

The induction was conducted after a two-day training for member executive professional examination (MEPE) held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital during the week.

Speaking at the Event, Dr olalekan Fadolapo, Director General, said the exercise was to give legal status to some people who may have been practicing without adequate certification.

He charged the new inductees to be good ambassadors of the advertising profession, adding that with their certification, they were free to explore opportunities in the industry without the fear of harassment.

“With your certification, you now have the legal rights to establish a full-fledged advertising agency and explore opportunities in outdoor advertising and other independent media space.

“It is also important to note that APCON recognizes the importance of continuous training and constant engagement with young professionals in our industry.

Dr Tosin Adesile was upgraded and Inducted as a full member of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria after attending various training and six years as an associate member of the council.

Speaking at the event with Sparklight News, Mr Mayowa Osinkamni congratulates Dr Tosin Adesile on this new feat and wishes him more achievements in his professional calling.
He also commends ARCON for taking its programme across the country to identify with different states.
