The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has banned Indomie Noodles Vegetable Flavour following the discovery of undeclared allergens, specifically milk and eggs, which could pose serious health risks to people with allergies or intolerances.

In a public alert issued on Friday and cited by TVC News, NAFDAC said the action followed a recall notice by France’s food safety authority, Rappel Conso. The alert, tagged Public Alert No. 041/2025, covers all batches of the product with a best-before date of February 6, 2026.
NAFDAC noted that although the risk of the product entering Nigeria is low due to the Federal Government’s ban on noodle importation, the agency has intensified surveillance to prevent illegal entry, including through online purchases or international travel. Zonal directors and state coordinators have been directed to monitor markets and remove the product if found.
The agency urged distributors, retailers, and consumers to remain vigilant and avoid the sale or consumption of the recalled product.
