The Police demonstrated “show of force” across communities in Osun State, warning miscreants to stay off during the Saturday, August 15 governorship election.

The Osun State Police Command displayed the show of force to demonstrate their readiness to provide adequate security before, during and after the governorship election.
CP Samuel Etaifo, Commissioner of Police in charge of Osun election, led officers through major communities in Osogbo, Iragbiji, Ikirun, Ede and other parts of the state.
The commissioner disclosed that the exercise is aimed at assuring residents that the police are on ground to ensure a violence-free election and create a level playing ground for all political actors.
The CP disclosed that about 15,000 officers drawn from various police tactical units and specialised squads will be deployed across the state to safeguard the election, urging residents to be law abiding.
