2027: Sani Promises Tinubu Massive Northern Support Over Projects

By Jelili Gbadamosi

Uba Sani,Kaduna State Governor has pledged massive support from voters in northern Nigeria for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing the administration’s infrastructure and security interventions in the region.

Sani made the pledge on Saturday at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna.

The governor highlighted the ongoing construction of the 123-kilometre Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road, which he said had been abandoned for more than 40 years before the Tinubu administration released funds for its reconstruction.

According to him, the president has also fulfilled his promise to improve security along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari corridor, allowing residents to travel the route with reduced fear of attacks.

Sani further disclosed that more than 300 schools and over 150 primary healthcare centres that were previously shut because of insecurity in Kaduna State have now reopened.

He also commended Tinubu for approving $865 million for the Kaduna Metropolitan Red Line project, saying the contractor had been mobilised for the approximately 50-kilometre corridor.

The governor said the projects and other interventions had demonstrated the Federal Government’s commitment to the development of the North.

He assured Tinubu that the region would reciprocate the administration’s efforts with strong electoral support in 2027.

“I want to assure you that the people of northern Nigeria will repay you with their votes,” Sani said.
