The African Union Commission has congratulated President Alassane Ouattara on his re-election following the announcement of results in Côte d’Ivoire’s presidential election.
In a statement, the Chairperson of the Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf praises the Ivorian people for their participation in the electoral process and commends national institutions for ensuring a smooth vote.
He urged all political and social stakeholders to sustain efforts toward peace, dialogue, and national unity.
The African Union Commission reaffirms its commitment to supporting Côte d’Ivoire in strengthening democratic governance, stability, and sustainable development.
Youssouf also recognised Côte d’Ivoire’s ongoing role in regional peace and security initiatives, pledging continued partnership with Ivorian authorities to foster a stable and prosperous region.
