The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will begin distributing 77,015 newly printed Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, to eligible registrants in Oyo State from Friday, October 9, 2026.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Professor Adeniran Tella, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday.
According to Tella, the exercise will run for seven days, ending on Thursday, October 15, and will cover all 351 Registration Areas and wards across the state.
He said the PVCs were printed for newly registered voters as part of the commission’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The REC stated that distribution and collection of the cards would take place daily between 9:00am and 3:00pm, including weekends.
He urged eligible registrants to take advantage of the exercise and collect their PVCs within the stipulated period.
The distribution forms part of INEC’s ongoing preparations to ensure that newly registered voters in Oyo State are able to participate in the 2027 general elections.
